There isn’t much Jim Stone hasn’t done in his nearly three decades in broadcasting. The Hardin, Illinois native has shared quiet time with rock stars, interviewed governors, called hockey games, played catch with baseball legends, used the power of his mic to help veterans, restored a clock tower, and most recently built a radio station from scratch. (He also once took his motorcycle on a 2,000+ mile road trip, but that’s another story for another time.) His career has taken him to airwaves in Lafayette (on WHKY), Terre Haute, Indiana Champaign, Illinois, and Rockford, Illinois (among others.) His vision for Q1067 is to use the power of local radio to build and support the Greater Lafayette by being a partner to area businesses and organizations.
