Purdue’s own Tyler Trent has been on a whirlwind for the past few months. We’ve all known about how special he is since he camped outside Ross-Ade. But now the world has taken notice of this incredible young man. And he’s using the platform he’s been given to bring even more awareness to the need for cancer research.
The latest stop in Tyler’s amazing journey happened Thursday evening in Atlanta when he was presented with the Disney Spirit Award during the Home Depot College Football Awards. Tyler was accompanied on stage by Purdue quarterback David Blough. The award also came with a donation to his Foundation. As ABC 6 in Indy reports, “The Anthem Foundation headquartered in Indianapolis made the first $25,000 donation. Dick and Lorraine Vitale and the V Foundation for Cancer Research will each match that donation with $25,000 gifts.”
