Pride Lafayette Second Chance Prom @ Coyote Crossing Golf Club

Welcome to MY BIG FAT GAY PROM, Pride Lafayette’s 2025 Second Chance Prom!

Not everyone had the opportunity to attend prom with the person they wanted or dressed as they wanted or fully as themselves. Pride Lafayette’s annual Second Chance Prom gives all ages the chance to come together for a prom night to be their authentic selves and have fun.

Your ticket includes:

  • Pizza by Arni’s
  • Tunes by DJ Kyle Brutons
  • Photobooth by Treat Your Selfie
  • Free soft drinks
  • Cash bar (must be 21+ with valid ID)

There’s no formal dress code for prom…be yourself! While we encourage everyone to lean into the theme as they’re able, this is a chance for you to enjoy prom as yourself. The only requirement is to have fun!

Franciscan Health Race for Kids 5K Run/Walk @ Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital

Franciscan Health Race for Kids 5K Run/Walk @ Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital

The Race for Kids is aimed to raise awareness and funds for our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and our Pediatric Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy departments. All proceeds will help purchase equipment and supplies needed to provide a continuum of care for our tiny babies in the NICU to our children with developmental delays who work hard each week in their therapy appointments. At Franciscan Health, we want to enhance a child’s ability to learn, improve their physical function as well as support their need for independence.

This year markes a special milestone – the 10th anniversary of the 5K Race for Kids, and we want to celebrate it with you. To honor a decade of impact, we’re inviting you to join our $10 for 10 challenge. Here’s how it works:

Donate $10 to support the 5K Race for Kids.
Challenge 10 friends to do the same.
Watch the impact grow!
It’s that simple – your $10 can multiple into thousands with the power of community! Every $10 provides transporation for a pediatric therapy patient or NICU parent.

8:30 am – Activities such as the NICU reunion photo, butterfly release and kid’s dash will begin.
