It’s the Super-Mega-Friday Edition of The Daily Q!

Check out Purple Masquerade: A Tribute to Prince this Friday at the Lafayette Theatre!

When we went on the air back in February, there were two Camerons doing the weather on WLFI. We called them “The Camerons.” We followed them on Twitter. They followed us back. We exchanged GIFs. Wished each other Happy Birthday (although ours hasn’t happened yet). But, you know, we were basically besties. This morning we wake up to one less Cameron on WLFI as Cameron Hardin gave his final forecast last night. Best wishes, bestie, on your new adventure. You will be greatly missed by all of us here at Q1067!

And in the next breath, a great big hello to Balint Szalavari, who joined the WLFI weather team this morning. Pretty sure we’ll unintentionally butcher his name many, many times.

The Cubs sent the Phillies packing in the rubber game of the series with a 4-3 victory during an afternoon game at Wrigley. Today the other Pennsylvania team arrives for a three-game weekender at the Friendly Confines.

After waiting over 40 years, the Washington Capitals have won the Stanley Cup, besting the Las Vegas Knights 4 games to one in the finals. It’s the first major sports championship ever to be won in Las Vegas. It’s the first Stanley Cup for the Caps. And it’s the first national sports championship for the nation’s capital in over 25 years (The Nats had their 2017 World Series dreams dashed by the Cubbies). Hockey’s not our game, but the Boss is a fan, so we have to figure it out.

The 150th running of the Belmont Stakes is Saturday. The question becomes: will Justify win the third jewel in the Triple Crown?

The Lafayette Aviators fell to the Springfield Sliders 12-8 in Springfield. The 2017 Champs are off to a rough start losing 6 out of their first 7 games of the season.

CNN is confirming that celebrity chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain has been found dead in France in an apparent suicide. RIP Mr. Bourdain. You took us to places unknown.
