An opportunity for historical and cultural discovery awaits guests as they will be invited to “Step Into the Painting”. Learn about the historical significance of the activities depicted in the paintings and their critical role through time. Studying historic paintings allows individuals to understand different aspects of Hoosier culture.
Enjoy a box lunch from Great Harvest Bread Company while learning about daily living in the 1800’s and early 1900’s through paintings, and seeing the activities from a child’s perspective. Enjoy a hands-on activity of wheat weaving. Afterwards, guests may go to the second floor to view the “Step Into the Painting” Exhibition.
“Step Into the Past” and hands-on activity will be presented by Lola Smith.
Fee: $15 Admission (includes lunch). Reservations are required, as seating is limited.
